6.4 Fuels and lubricants. Fuels and lubricants used for vehicle break-in run and acceptance tests shall be changed as necessitated by seasonal temperature changes and as directed by the contracting officer.
6.5 The following shall be used with the classification of defects for leak:
a. Weep: Any evidence of fluid beyond seal.
b. Seep: Any evidence of fluid beyond seal that does not result in formation of a droplet.
c. Droplet: Any evidence of fluid beyond the seal that results in the formation of a droplet.
d. Drip: Any evidence of fluid beyond the seal where droplet forms and fall. e. Drop: A drop is defined as a volume of 0.05 cubic centimeters.
6.6 International standardization agreement. Certain provisions (see 3.6.8.1) of this specification are the subject of international standardization agreement NATO STANAG 2805. When amendment, revision or cancellation of this specification is proposed that will effect or violate the international agreement concerned, the preparing activity will take appropriate reconciliation action through international standardization channels including departmental standardization offices, if required.
6.7 Changes from previous issue. Asterisks, to identify changes with respect to the previous issue, are not used in this revision due to the extensiveness of the changes.
