e. Fuel tank hydraulic oil reservoir, and line cleanliness (see 3.4.4.1, 3.4.4.2 and 4.5.1.5).
f. Heater fuel feed (see 3.4.4.3 and 4.5.1.6).
g. Battery door check (see 3.4.7.2 and 4.5.1.11).
h. Generator voltage check (see 3.4.9.7 and 4.5.1.14).
i. Generator blower motor check (see 3.4.9.8 and 4.5.1.15).
j. Main armament balance check (see 3.6.12.2 and 4.5.1.40.1).
4.4 Break-in run, track. To determine conformance to 3.5.1, 3.5.2, and 3.5.3 each vehicle shall be lubricated and serviced prior to the break-in run (see 6.4). The run shall be on smooth, level, hard-surface roads, and for the distances specified in table II. The vehicle shall be operated in reverse after each division as specified in 3.5.4. The undulating portion of the test shall be accomplished twice in each direction at speeds between five and 10 mph during
division "a".
4.4.1 Condition after run. The vehicle shall be inspected to determine conformance to
3.5.5. End play check shall be accomplished on all suspension wheel bearings and may be
readjusted if required.
4.5 Quality conformance inspection.
a. Acceptance inspections 4.5.1 through 4.5.1.43.5. b. Control inspections 4.5.2 through 4.5.2.12.
c. Comparison inspections (CT) 4.5.3 through 4.5.3.14.
4.5.1 Tests.
4.5.1.1 Acceptance tests. To determine conformance to 3.6 after break-in run (see 3.5), each vehicle shall be operated for a distance of 8 miles or more and shall be examined as specified in 4.4.2 and subjected to acceptance tests (see 4.5). These acceptance test shall include all acceptance tests specified at place of manufacture in table IX. Vehicle shall be completely assembled serviced with fuel, lubricants, and fluid as specified, but need not be combat loaded, except for holding as specified in 4.5.1.40. After tests, the vehicle shall be examined for evidence of fuel or lubricant leakage or other deficiencies.
4.5.1.1.1 Test failure. If a vehicle fails to pass any test specified herein, the Government inspector shall withhold acceptance of subsequent lots until evidence has been provided by the contractor that the corrective action has been taken.
