MIL-V-62475(AT)
a. Stow interlock check. It shall be verified that for the targeting head in the stowed mode the laser cannot be fired and the turret cannot be moved. It shall be verified that the override function does not enable firing of the laser, nor movement of the targeting head.
b. Targeting station interlock and override. It shall be verified that the laser interrupt and weapon hatch indicators come on, the laser cannot be fired and turret motion is inhibited when the targeting station hatch has been opened. The stow position shall be allowed. It shall be verified that the override function enables firing of the laser and turret motion, and sounds the alarm. It shall be verified that turning off the override turns off the audible alarm. It shall be verified that closing the targeting station hatch turns off the laser interrupt indicators.
c. Driver's hatch interlock and override. It shall be verified that the laser interrupt and driver's hatch indicators come on, the laser cannot be fired and turret motion is inhibited when the driver's hatch has been positioned to partial or full open. The stow position shall be allowed. It shall be verified that the override function enables firing of the laser, turret motion and sounds the alarm. It shall also be verified that closing the driver's
hatch turns off the audible alarm and laser interrupt indicators.
d. Cargo hatch interlock and override. It shall be verified that the laser interrupt and cargo hatch indicators come on and the laser cannot be fired when the cargo hatch has been opened (partial or full). When the cargo hatch is open (partial), it shall be verified that stow position and turret motion are also inhibited. It shall be verified that the override function enables firing of the laser, turret motion and sounding of the alarm. It shall be verified that turning off the override turns off the audible alarm. It shall be verified that the stow position, with a partial open cargo hatch cannot be overridden. It shall be verified that closing the cargo hatch turns off the laser interrupt indicators.
e. WFOV interlock. It shall be verified that the laser interrupt indicator comes on and the laser cannot be fired when the WFOV has been selected. It shall be verified that the override function does not enable firing of the laser.
f. Shortage trigger switch interlock. It shall be verified that when one or both trigger switches on the hand control unit is depressed or failed during TSCD power up and when there are no fire interrupts and when the G/VLLD power is on, the laser cannot be fired.
It shall be verified that a flashing "TRIG SHORT" operator error message shall appear on the TSCD display. It shall be verified that the override function shall not enable firing of the laser.
