3.5.30 Operating conditions.
3.5.30.1 Climatic conditions. The FISTV vehicle shall operate in ambient air temperatures of 125°F (51.7°C) to minus 25°F (-31.7°C) (see 4.6.4.29.1).
3.5.30.2 Shock and vibration. The FISTV vehicle shall not be damaged, nor shall its performance be impaired, after exposure to shock and vibration experienced during the operating conditions specified herein (see 4.6.4.29.1).
3.5.31 Survivability.
3.5.31.1 Armament. The armament provisions of the FISTV vehicle shall consist of a traversing rail and pintle gun mount for the 7.62 mm M60 machine gun. The rail shall be mounted on the targeting station cupola. A locking device shall be provided to secure the mount at any position along the traversing rail. In the travel mode, the machine gun shall
(see 4.6.4.30.1):
a. Not interfere with any position of the targeting head or targeting station.
b. Permit continuous targeting station rotation without interference with the M981 chassis or panoramic telescope.
c. Remain stowed under the conditions defined in the mission profile (see 3.5.3).
